The Live Album

I couldn't believe my luck on Sunday afternoon when a box of CDs arrived in Cambridge. A live double album with 21 songs lasting two and a quarter hours. Its even got all the presentations at the end. It was great to finally get to hear The Gap, as the band didn't play it when I saw them in Southend. It was worth the wait. It has not been out of the CD player since yesterday afternoon. Searching For My Shadow is just an incredible piece of music. So moving, and one of the best power ballads ever.

A really great album. Fingers are well and truly crossed that the DVD is going to happen. Perhaps some more thoughts when I get chance to sit back and analyse it a bit better. At the moment, I just keep playing it.

So come on guys, when are the rest of us going to be able to order a copy !

I listened to it in the car and have to say it exceeded my hopes! You never know with live CDs - but for those that haven't got it yet - you won't be disappointed. Actually it was probably the first timje I heard the set properly - I was too busy filming it to concentrate on how good it was at the time!

Yeah, we listened to it in the car on the way back from Cambridge too.

A wonderful momento of a magical concert. I`m so pleased this was recoreded and released.

Heard this was for sale at the weekend and I have to say that the lack of being able to order it yet this week is pretty damn frustrating. Thought that the rest of us who couldn't afford to get to cambridge would at least have the oppertunity to get ours at the earliest chance.

The Live CD was another pre-release limited edition. If sales went as well as last year's pre-release limited edition of Below the radar at the Cambridge Rock Festival then there will none left for you to buy!

I have it on very good authority that the Limited edition pre-release Live albums (on CD-R) will be appearing on the Merchandise page of the website any day now!! :0)

Any news on the DVD ?

Little more on the DVD than has already neen posted. My understanding is that editing the pictures from the two main cameras and third backup should be underway soon, now that the soundtrack is sorted out. No timescale though, at least that I'm aware of. All I can say is that it can't be easy!

The Newsflash on the Homepage says that the live cd is the pre-release, limited edition, CD-R version. It then goes on to refer to the 'full, pressed version' which will be released at a later date. Can anyone clarify what the difference will be between the two, other than the expected different inlay booklet ?

There won't be too much difference really... Except:
. The cds will be pro audio cds rather than CD-Rs,
. The printing on the cd will be smarter
. The inlay will be on high-quality glossy card instead of paper

There are also some possible bonus options we're looking into at the moment, but nothing confirmed.

The reason there is a limited edition is we needed some copies to sell at our first gig, Cambridge Rock Festival, and we knew the full high quality CD or DVD packages wouldn't have been ready in time. :0)
