| Today's listening has been Led Zep III, with the spinning bit in the cover to play with, Bad Co, fisrt album, The Beatles "Help". Now playing "The Last Bright Light", Mostly Autumn. When that's finished it's either Below The Radar, or The Fabric. I have yet to decide. | |

| Mainly Mostly Autumn, though via YouTube as I'm still waiting for Pass The Clock to arrive from Amazon. Also a bit of Edenbridge with last night "The Palace", starts with a massive guitar solo from Lanvall... Also worth checking out there's a new Kamelot CD out in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime I'm keeping Iain happy by placing an order for "Below The Radar"! | |

Fantastic debut album from very talented American singer songwriter - definite similiarities to Stevie Nicks of Rumours vintage to these ears !

Enjoy Most definitely - five star album. A bit darker and heavier than Coming Up For Air. In places reminded me a bit of Within Temptation with a hint of Evanescence (sorry...) albeit without Angsty Amy's depressing lyrics!

| Out at networking meetings a lot last work - something I really don't enjoy. Still, they have to happen... so not much music. Nothing really stood out although the Tygers album was better than I remembered and the Trevor Rabin one not as good as I'd thought. The Ultravox one is worth a listen - perhaps not quite what you'd expect from the chart singles - almost a bit proggy!
Tygers Of Pan Tang - The Cage ~437~ Journey - Journey ~572~ Twisted Sister - Under The Blade ~600~ Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses ~652~ Ultravox - Systems Of Romance ~736~ Tripping Daisy - I Am An Elastic Firecracker ~766~ Trevor Rabin - Wolf ~787~ Type O Negative - October Rust ~911~ Tool - Aenima ~934~ Touch - Touch ~950~ Tura Satana - Relief Through Release ~1021~ Tubes - Remote Control ~1037~ Trapeze - Hold On ~1079~ Tubes - Now ~1259~ Trust - L'elite ~1274~ Toto - Hydra ~1315~ Tubeway Army - Replicas ~1400~ Toto - Turn Back ~1411~

And also last week in the car:

| Well, today is a bit of a momentus day! I've got to the end of all the original albums we've got (again) - apart from a handful of cassettes of Lynda's anyway... So the final (ish) batch listened to this week has been:
White Zombie - Supersexy Swingin' Sounds Yngwie J Malmsteen - Odyssey ~310~ Y & T - In Rock We Trust ~431~ Wolf - Canis Lupus ~435~ Zutons - Who Killed The ~439~ Wolfmother - Cosmic Egg ~468~ Zutons - Tired Of Hanging Around ~558~ Wildhearts - Stop Us If You've Heard This One Before Vol 1 ~558~ Yes - Open Your Eyes ~670~ Wishbone Ash - Twin Barrels Burning ~702~ Yes - Big Generator ~721~ Y & T - Earth Shaker ~730~ Wildhearts - The Wildhearts ~743~ Wishbone Ash - There's The Rub ~793~ U.F.O. - No Heavy Petting ~811~ Steve Hackett - Voyage Of The Acolyte ~834~ Zwan - Mary Star Of The Sea ~842~ Wolf - Night Music ~842~ ZZ Top - Recycler ~849~ Wishbone Ash - Just Testing ~866~ Ziggy Byfield And The Blackheart Band - Running ~872~ Y & T - Mean Streak ~887~ XTC - Black Sea ~931~ ZZ Top - Afterburner ~1069~ Witchery - Restless And Dead ~1083~ Wishbone Ash - Locked In ~1129~ ZZ Top - El Loco ~1164~ Yngwie J Malmsteen - Rising Force ~1182~ Various - Wizzards Convention ~1289~ Yvonne Elliman - Love Me ~1324~ Wild Horses - Wild Horses ~1326~ Wishbone Ash - New England ~1351~ XTC - White Music ~1385~ Wire - 154 ~1403~ Wildhearts - Endless Nameless ~1492~
I guess I must listen to the Zutons more often, and even the later Wolf album is better than I remember - I hadn't realised (or had forgotten) they had If's vocalist by then as well as Darryl Way and Ian Moseley.

| In the car going to Larry Miller and Emerald Sky:
Lone Star - Lone Star Lone Star - Firing on all six Larry Miller - Unfinished business Pink Floyd - Pulse (disc 1) Mostly Autumn - Live 2009 (both discs)
The MA Live album(s) would be in my top few if they'd been one album. And really good in the car - must be the resonance - they always sound better in the car than on my much more expensive hifi ! The 2nd Lone star album is recommended and Larry's latest is rather good - his studio stuff sometimes doesn't quite pick up the live sound - get along to a gig!
