The Borderline was pretty full for Heather's set, and you could hear a pin drop. Don't know if the gig sold out, but it can't have been far short.
Heather and Chris played an hour-long set, quite lengthy for a support. The set was quite a mix, songs from The Phoenix Suite, old Mostly Autumn and Odin Dragonfly songs, and quite a few of Chris Johnson's songs as well as Heather's. They make a surprisingly rich sound for a duo, a lot of it down to Chris' talents as a guitarist. There were even moments where he seem to be playing two parts simultaneously. Silver Glass was one highlight; never guessed it would work so well acoustically, and hearing Heather sing it does make you wonder if she should have sung it in Mostly Autumn days.
Touchstone, of course, rocked. But we all knew they would. Not sure who wiped all the egg of certain people's faces over Heather supporting a prog band.
