Yeah, that was an interesting one. I wasn't expecting too much from it after the first 10 minutes or so - boy, was I ever wrong! This week's film night (last Saturday) saw us indulging in the pleasures of Disney's excellent National Treasure movies (1 & 2) - sort of Indiana Jones-lite with Nicholas Cage. Really good fun, actually, and some surprisingly meaty car chases and action sequences in them for the Bond/Bourne fans in the audience. Recommended, if they sound like the sort of thing you might enjoy. This week's Tesco DVD rental (we're signed up with the service that sends you a disc in the mail, then sends another once you've sent it back) was The Descent - a stonkingly good British-made shocker, with buckets of the red red krovvy and plenty of scares. I've been meaning to watch it for ages, and have finally got around to it - great fun!

| I've seen National Treasure 1 & 2 and quite enjoyed them, although I cannot stand Nicholas Cage. The Descent freaked me out, mainly because I have a vivid imagination and when watching films like this place myself in the position of the hero/heroine/victim and subsequently dream about the film for weeks with me as heroine/victim. | |

| Watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Pretty good but those who haven't read Steig Larssons excellent book may find some things hard to follow. Still worth watching before Hollywood cocks up a re-make which I understand is to happen.

| The Centurion is pretty good, if you don't mind lots of blood and gore.
The main event this year is going to be the Alien Quadrilogy on Blu-Ray, Aliens is probably still one of my all time favourite movies, "Get away from her you b....!"
