New Band Members, and new gig!

Hi chaps.

We're very pleased to let you know that following the recent addition of Mr Adam Dawson to the band as lead guitarist, we are very happy to today (finally!) announce our new lead singer...

Heidi Widdop!

Some of you, I'm sure, will be aware of Heidi via her performances with the acoustic duo The Secrets, and also through her solo recordings. Heidi comes to us with a wealth of experience of live performing, studio recording and songwriting, and has a fantastic fresh and exciting outlook! We hope you will all join us in welcoming her to the family! Hip Hip.... etc.

Heidi and Adam's first gig with Breathing Space has been confirmed as Thursday 5 August 2010 at the Roman Bath in York, where we will be previewing the hour-long set we will be playing at Cambridge Rock Festival on Sunday 8 August. It would be great to see you at both gigs! (Oh, and our Roman Bath gig will be free entry! Bonus!)

Excellent news - two very talented people who I am very pleased to say I know,

Good Luck to Adam and Heidi (well I can tell Adam that myself tonight as I am seeing him playing live at Fibbers!)

Yes - excellent - and I'm pleased to say there is something on the web site too now. Albeit some of it may change over the coming days and weeks as we get good live Breathing Space pictures!

Great to have Adam and Heidi confirmed at last!! Can't wait to see/hear the new line up....will be at the Roman Baths!!!!

Worst luck we will be at Cambridge from Thursday afternoon, but hope it all goes well, as I am sure it will with such great additions to the band. Can't wait till Sunday.

Unlike Colin, I'm not planning to go to Cambridge til Friday, so hopefully will make it to York on Thursday.

I'll most likely see you there, then, Trev. I was supposed to be going to a job on Teeside on Monday, but I managed to postpone it until Thursday, so that I can "call in" on York on the way back. It's not often that my work actually proves to be of benefit in my private life, so when it does, I make the most of it ;-)

URGENT NEWS -

Tonight's Breathing Space gig at the Roman Bath has unfortunately had to be CANCELLED at the last minute.

Unfortunately Heidi has a very painful throat infection, and after consultation with her doctor this morning, she is not allowed to sing, or even speak, for a few days!

If tonight's gig had gone ahead, the doc said we wouldn't be able to do Cambridge Rock Festival.
But with rest, he said we'll be fine for sunday, so at the moment, Cambridge is still going ahead as planned!!

We're really very sorry to everyone who was coming down to offer their much appreciated support!

Believe me, if we could do the gig we definitely would, but we're under doctor's orders!

If you get this message could you please pass on to anyone else who you know was planning on coming down?

Sorry again, and we'll see you all at Cambridge!!

Firstly - "get well soon Heidi"!

We're a seasoned, hardy bunch us BS fans and, sure, it's a disappointment for all concerned but we'd rather Heidi was firing on all cylinders for the big one on Sunday.

The Roman Baths gig will live again I'm sure!
